The value of a Jewish day camp experience is immeasurable.  Children develop self esteem, learn and enhance skills, discover new activities, act in a team, form Jewish identities, explore the great outdoors, understand how we fit into the world around us, become leaders... and have FUN. 

Henry Kaufmann Campgrounds is committed to assisting our agencies in the life-changing experience of Jewish summer camp accessible to ALL children, regardless of a family’s financial means.

This makes raising funds for scholarships one of our greatest priorities, particularly during these tough economic times.

You can help!

By contributing to the Henry Kaufmann Campgrounds Scholarship Fund, you can make a tremendous impact in a child’s life and the future of our community.  The current state of the economy is precluding many families from sending children to camp this summer but you can help ensure that these children are not denied the opportunity to be part of a community of learning, growing and playing - all in the great outdoors.

"I feel like I was truly blessed by having the opportunity to attend camp when I was growing up. I remember so clearly when I first learned to dive and was cheered on by my whole group.  I went on to swim in high school and college but think I would have never gotten that start without camp.  Now I want to send my daughter but I just don’t think I can afford to.  All of her friends are already signed up and I’m really nervous about how she will spend her summer.   I understand why camp costs what it does – I just wish there were enough scholarships for my daughter and other children who deserve much more than to be indoors watching TV all summer."
