HKC Staten Island
Welcoming 1300 campers each day
HKC Staten Island was opened in 1952 as a rural oasis for the children living in lower Manhattan and Brooklyn. Its 75 acres is now the home to three day camps, one based in lower Manhattan, one in Brooklyn and one on Staten Island.
The property is intimate and beautifully rustic in a way not found at any of the other HKC locations but is still able to serve more than 1300 campers on a daily basis. In 2016, UJA-Federation of New York, who owns the property, embarked on a $35 million capital campaign to bring HKC into the 21st century and plans are being worked out to renovate the facilities.
